Indeed true...and Bernadette Mimura will always remain an eternal exemplar of this. Mimura, a Teesside mother sacrificed her own life to let her unborn baby live.



The lady was diagnosed with breast cancer one month into pregnancy...and at tis time she had to make a courageous choice...a choice between her life and her baby’s...And she chose latter.



She could’ve survived cancer with life saving drugs, had her choice been termination of her pregnancy.

But the lady chose a life for her baby instead and gave birth to a healthy baby. With all medical supports she lived just long enough to see her son, Nathan, christened.

Adam Taylor, Mimura’s partner said:

“She was a very positive person, always full of life, always laughing.

“She was life, that’s what she was.”
